pixel ribbon

hi all has anyone got any detailed dismantle and self assembly of reparing the pixel on the clocks etc?
i have seen all the equipment for self repair but just wondered if it could be a diy job
any help much appreciated

from what I've heard it's a Censored of a job to DIY. Far better pay the £120 adn get it done by someone who knows. (mind you it's not a permanent fix - I've seen one or two people say the pixel fade has occurred again some time after the fix.
