The 14MY owner's handbook is now on Topix. Wade sensing has come over from the new RRS, along with the new 3.0L V6 Supercharged engine and Start/Stop across the board. Additionally, there have been improvements to RSE with a new remote and navigation information can now be displayed on the RSE screens.

There is also a new 'eco data' section on the touch screen which shows how many litres of fuel per hour you are using depending on HVAC settings etc.

Seems quite a few changes for one MY in!

May be items that were originally intended for inclusion at the launch, but missed the production cut. Graham

lot's more changes have been made , the biggest being a new Twin can-bus system which makes all the info/nav/e-system and software for the car electronics run at far higher speed now it has the bandwidth , you can also spec both active diff and park assist on the same car ( a previous limit of the over tasked single can-bus) lot's more updates have been added than meets the eye. Far to many gone...

It seem very odd and very inefficient the way LR seem to have made such a large number of material changes to a totally new vehicle less than a year into its life cycle. It seems as if it was rushed into production before its was really ready.

Expect another few more changes after they have changed the 14MY as the sales guy told me they are planning on changing something about it every year for a 5 year period

Seems to be the way these days, nothing stays the same for very long. Cars and motorcycles seem to be going the way of mobile phone manufacturers with model updates every year. Just feeding market hunger for the next big thing. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Well I wish they would hurry up and replace then infotainment interface with something that doesn't feel 10 years behind everyone else. Oh and ditch the silly rotary gear change for the one the Sport has. Probably this will come in the model year after I have got mine.

The vehicle clearly wasn't fully ready to go into production for 13MY...

im cool with a slow rate of development if they take their time to make these things reliable

I think depreciation of any FFRR is relative (big or bigger - its a lot of money on any car that starts at £80k+). 13MY cars will probably be in demand by those clever types, who let me take the first hit, as they will be the first available for the enthusiasts on the second hand market.

I'm enjoying the car and will look forward to the infotainment interface improvements on my second one. Other than the the snappier reactions promised by the twin CAN bus mentioned elsewhere none of the other 'improvements' or additions have made me regret my decision to buy early. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

Why slate Land Rover for model year changes ! yes the single can bus was a problem and was part of the Ford past ownership issue, yes i agree they could have held back a few months but time is money no matter what industry you are in.

Porsche at least 1 MY change a year on every model , BMW , Audi all the same, time does not stand still and cars move on at a crazy rate as technology changes.

Should you ever buy a new TV ! hmm no because there is a new model out 3 months later ! but we all buy new TV's. Far to many gone...

True but if a new TV cost 80K I think I wouldnt be so spontaneous with the puchase  African Bush Junkie ... in London!
