24" split rims / losing air out of bolt / manchester

Hi, i have 24 inch split rims on my l322. I replaced a tyre the other day thinking there was a problem with the tyre losing air, brand new tyre on. Went flat that night. Took it to garage that fitted tyre, sprayed liquid and shows air leaking from a couple of bolts, took it to refurb wheel place today, they took apart and resealed and still losing air. Im in manchester area and wondered if there was anyone that knows how to fix this problem. I dont have a spare in the mean time either, should i spray that gel into the tyre and run off that?

Thought I'd reply before a few of the locals take the p15 about your huge rims! I'm guessing they are split rims? The problem is a wheel of that size has huge amounts of destructive forces placed upon it during driving and as such is more probe to failure and damage. It doesn't matter how expensive they are, we don't have roads or weather like California. You could have a hairline fracture invisible to the eye that's leaking, a dangerous thing because its only going to get bigger. People weld these up and that... In my opinion is very bad practice. You could have a poor seal on your split rim due to a slight face imperfection, air will leak through 0.10 of a mm. You could have a similar problem with a bolt hole or rim lip.

Adding that green stuff is a tempory repair only and not designed for high speed or cornering or long distance. It's a get you home treatment.

A lot of people will slate your wheels, it's your car do what you want. I had my heart set on 22's but they have similar problems. I'd sell your wheels on and get a high class set of 20's or bite the bullet and replace that rim.

Yes they will fit but the tyres are RRS size not FF size... They will fit and work but the tyres may look slim on a FF Thumbs Up

Are you sure the wheel refurb place has done your 24" wheels properly. Splitting down a set of split rims and then putting them bac together is a specialist job as you have to torque up the bols tin the correct sequence or you can over stress the wheel causing the rims to warp 56 TDV8 Vogue SE
