United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Java Black

ok I have done a bit research and found out that the key and circuit board are for up to 05 only, cars like 06/07 that have the same old style key it will not work, they changed the anti-theft system to a tag system as well as most other things after the facelift.
So just to be clear these keys are to replace the old style keys on the 02 to 05 cars.
There are two styles available original and new style; if you’re willing to pay I will post anywhere.
There are two circuit boards frequencies 433 and 315 MHz, we use 433 in the UK so check if you’re outside the UK or have an imported car.
I will give it a few more days and then go through the request to make a list. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Hi Dave, mine is a MY2006 but built 05/2005 (North American spec) and it doesn't lock/unlock the doors despite having two flip key 315 MHz fobs. Could that mean that mine is still on the "old" system ?

I tested the batteries (after having them in the ignition for a while) and they seem to have good voltage. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

ok on the 05 they changed with the face lift to the tag system, i dont have the equipment to write transponder for this, but i do for the 05 and younger,
check to see if you have the bmw ews under you centre console, its on the drivers side level with the shifter, if you have that ews then these will work for you... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

The transponder I have, I took out of my old crappy key. I stuck it in the housing of the flip key I bought from the US. That part works fine and the car starts without issues with the combo (the blade is also taken from the old key). The only thing my flip key fobs won't do, is locking/unlocking the doors. I have gone through the pairing procedure several times and both my old style keys work and the flip keys (both US 315 MHz) won't pair. If I get one of the keys you're talking about, would that then work or is that where the change is done ?

Transferring the blade and transponder is easy Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I have had a similar problem with my flip key, the key wont open, close the doors but will start car Neutral
my original keys still pair fine.

My keys came from the far east Laughing I ordered the 433mhz ones, although don't know how you would tell if they had sent 315mhz in error Confused other than why I cant program to lock/open doors Big Cry

Hi Dave, you were right, took minutes to extract the PCB. Here are three pics, the front twice and the rear once. Hope this helps in finding out that it is Smile

That looks suspiciously like a body control module manufactured by a company called Lear. With the EEDS tag I would venture this board was made in Spain? These modules are usually locked and cannot be re programed, although it may be possible to get a reader and program a Transponder chip to one match one of the existing key slots locked into its memory. Occasionally you see a used one of these units being sold on eBay etc, do not buy as they are VIN locked and cannot be programed to a different vehicle. new units are available for around £80 - £100 but must be factory coded to the vehicles VIN by the dealer, or so I'm told.

My Range Rover is also 2006 and likely to have one of these fitted, so hope someone can read these and program an ID44 or ID46 chip match? Should've been old enough to know better...doh!
