United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

After buying my dream car we stopped at the services as we were both battered buy the long winded buying experience and when we came out after having some thing to eat I was admiring me new car when I spotted a bulge in the rear nearside tyre , the really gutty part was there was loads of tread on the tyre ..... I knew the spare was well worn so took the good tyre from the offside and Prop recommended these nexen tyres so rang my local tyre supplier who I have used for years and had two of these nexen tyres fitted and the good tyre from the offside went in the boot as the spare £225.00 for the two but have only experienced the 110 mile drive to Cam-Tech-Craig and have yet to get the car back , hopefully some time next week but the drive down there seemed ok but didn't really have the others to compare because I had them changed 3 days after buying the car .... I want my Rodney back Thumbs Up

So would people recommend these or should I spend an extra £80 a corner on a Pirelli?

Thanks. 2009 TDV8 Vogue SE - Bonatti Grey

In general they seem to be good tyres, like with any tyre, there are also people that don't like them. I would say the 80 pre corner doesn't seem justified when I read the mostly positive responses. I do suggest to have a good look for yourself around the net and on the forum to make up your mind. I am happy with mine but my driving conditions are very different from yours Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

i cant understand why peeps buy new branded tyres for £250 [each ,average] when you can get brand new wheel/tyre combo's from Ducky Dan for less than £1000 and then sell your old wheels/tyres for around £400 'ish ... ... - .- -.

I've seen a set that he had and the were 19's and I'm happy with my wheels which are 20's. I would buy a set and swap the tyre over and sell the new wheels possibly. I'll drop him a line now and see what he's got in.

Thanks Thumbs Up 2009 TDV8 Vogue SE - Bonatti Grey

got them on current 3.6TDV8. done 5,000 on them, i think one is out of shape though.

they are not too bad for the cash, side walls are thinner as compression of tyre at base of allow is more than say Pirelli's. not tried them off road but the thinner side walls would be a little worry to be honest.

did 40,000 on a set of Pirelli Scorpians and the tread was cut to pieces without any punctures. Would go for Pirelli's again to be honest over Nexens 3.0 VSE - 2015MY
