Steering Column

Hi

Looking for a quick response on this one as the mechanis at the garage is due to go on holiday.

I have a faulty steering column where the ECU is pulling 3 Amps. I have sourced a replaement column that when is connected is only pulling 90 milliamps. if this ECU is disconnected then the car goes down to 30 milliamps.

Is 90 milliamps acceptable or do i appear to have another faulty column.
