TPMS & Tyre Machines

Hi,

Ours is fitted with new genuine TPMS valves.

When putting the tyre inflator on the valves at the local garage, it seems to have a tendency to 'get stuck' after the air has been put in... it feels metal on metal horrible and as though to move or pull the inflator a certain way might snap the valve and whilst mucking around, the other issue is that the air can escape a little ... has anyone got any tips on how to avoid this/ is there any lubricant that does the trick (tips apart from replacing TPMS for rubber Wink )?

Thanks

firstly dont use the local garage, their pressure gauges are rarely calibrated and normally just dropped to the ground so you probably wont get the correct pressure in them..
visit a tyre company like ats/kwik fit etc they should always be helpful and check the pressures for you and their gauges will be accurate..
you can also put a little grease/vasoline around the valve stem for ease of checking.. ... - .- -.
