It's not snowy at the moment. You definitely don't need snow chains or winter tyres to get here. Discovery 4 HSE

Hope it stays that way for my trip up on Friday. Looks like there is plenty of snow for the skiing already so we just need bright sunny days for the outdoor eating and drinking Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

Snow has been good, only a bit slushy late afternoon down by our village. I'm at Peisey Valandry near Les Arcs.

Range Rover has been in an underground car park but for one trip to the pool so took a photo or two in the village

Thumbs Up Good one. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for our leisurely two day trip across to Tignes. Hoping the weather holds. Forecast looks a bit mixed. I'll also be parked in an underground car park so picture taking opportunities could be limited. I'll try but might be one of the many petrol stops enroute Rolling Eyes 2012 5.0L S/C

Just packing the cases at the moment and leaving tomorrow.

Im in Arc 1950 for the week starting Sat. So if the skiing was good down as far as Valandry then we should be in for some good snow Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well it was certainly an easy drive to the Alps and back. Is there a better car to do it in?

It seems the majority of UK cars going down there are LR products, mostly Discoveries and then Range Rovers, a few Ewoks and Disco Sports and one Defender spotted on my travels.

Overall real world MPG was about 20mpg, mostly on cruise. Could have been worse but certainly could be better I guess, it's time like these I wished I had the 4.4 TDV8 or an L405 3.0 TDV6 or 4.4 SDV8.

As there was only 2 of us in the car we had plenty of space for gear, plus room for wine and champagne shopping on the way back. The french Peage routes were superb, and having the Telepeage SANEF toll token on the windscreen made the toll boths much quicker, no queueing for me!

Sadly, as soon as we got back onto UK soil it was traffic, roadworks, torrential rain and delays. It really ruins such a nice driving holiday to come back to this country. Yet again on the M1 in the midlands we are back to nearly 20+ miles of 50MPH average speed all over again. Censored Discovery 4 HSE

My toll tag has inexplicably stopped working!! so we had to use the tickets and the only t service point i saw was at albertville and i misjudged it and was on the wrong side of the payage. Will try and get a replacement on the way home. Makes the drive so much easier..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Not sure if you need the right company or not to get an exchange unit ??

I'm with APRR so would be OK around the Alps, but most are with Sanef so you may need to be closer to home - no harm in asking I suppose.

Decided to give the SC some love today. A wash followed by a back box respray followed by respray of all the towing armature etc. All looks nice and new again. Had some left over so sprayed the lower suspension arms at the rear and parts of the subframes I could get to.

Finished off by polishing the SC tail pipes with Autosol paste. Discovery 4 HSE

Car looks stunning, as always Thumbs Up

It's amazing how fresh it makes the car look when they're painted! What paint did you use? The back box on our SC is a tad scruffy at the moment.
