Hi all, just registered to find out more about Range Rovers as a next purchase. Fancied one for years but never took the plunge. Looking at 07 to 12, not too fussed on engine choice, 3.6/4.4 or SC, condition colour and trim are just as important, fancy reds, golds and browns to make a change from the monochrome sea in todays car parks. Plan on keeping it for a weekend family truckster type thing and getting out and about in winter for a change rather than sheltering from it.

My ideal car would be Nara bronze with electric rear seats, interior in maybe tan or brown. Currently checking out a gold 3.6 Autobiography with these option in beige interior....seeing it Friday.

Other cars on the drive include a DB9 (which is being traded in for a Rangey - bit of a useless posemobile to be honest), a Jag x350 XJR (silky to drive, and the inspiration to try an RR for comfort and waftability), a Lotus Esprit GT3, and a Volvo T5 workhorse, 20 years old and still truckin' every day.

Certainly looks to be the best RR forum so far...

PS real name is Mark, not Lester thats just an internet handle that seems to confuse folks.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Java Black

Morning all from darkest Cumbria.
Just joined as this seems to be the most informative / interesting forum on Solihull’s finest.
I’m a long time Range Rover driver, dad got its one in 73.)
Passed test in 2 nd one. First job had one as a company car ( hauling exibhition units).
Many years later after mercs and two live axle discos i bought an 04full fat TD6.
It’s been a faithful old girl and is in at my mechanics getting a little tittivation before going on the market.
It’s replacement is an 07 tdv8 which now sorted is everything I hoped it would be.
Anyway I’ll quietly ease my self into a seat at the back and try not to make an arse of myself.
Yours CB

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Hello everyone! I'm now 1 month and 1,000 miles into ownership of my 2011 TDV8 - loving it so far! It's been a long-term ambition to have one of these. The car was previously owned by counter of beans, so it has been very well looked after.

Hi all

Hi all

After wanting a Range Rover for years - and previously being a BMW brand victim - I now own my L322 TDV8. Really enjoying her so far. She needs some detailing and a few tasteful mods so will be hoping for good advice! Very Happy

Cheers.

Just joined

Good evening ladies and gent.

Just joined after spending an hour or two in Banbury with a couple of great chaps fixing a few bits on the motor. A new flip key, digital tv and replacement parking sensors.

Thanks guys.

I’m of to scroll through the treasure trove of info on the site.

Cheers

Jake.

First time owner just collected a 2013 Reg L322

62 Plate but one of the last registered I guess.
Come over from a Cayenne peterol and was worried but the big diesel is smooth.
Bought from Inchcape LR in Chester its not been the smoothest deal but I am confident all will be good.
Now I am off to scour the site for iphone leads, rubber tailgate buttons, seatbelt adjusters etc oh and I have a dog guard I dont need ;o)

Hi my name is Paul I’ve recently purchased a 2012 L322 Westminster in black, 51000 miles on the clock, it drives lovelythe only problem is I keep getting DPF full amber warning coming up, it clears but then comes up again after a short time 46 miles 12 miles and 7 miles the last three times , I’ve been advised by my local independent RR specialist that I need a forced Re-gen and an EGR temperature sensor @£526.70 +Vat
