A FFRR run out to Matlock and area. Anyone interested?

Right this is subject to the weather and numerous if's & but's and aimed at forum members in the S.MCR, Cheshire, N.Staffs and Derbyshire areas; of course if it goes ahead anyone is welcome.

I was thinking along the following lines -
An autumn Sunday before the end of October.
Meet up in Buxton and then drive to Matlock area.
Meet up with Tug RR who knows of some great driving roads for FFRR's in that area.
Find somewhere to eat and have a brew, swap anecdotes, hints, tips and advice re our motors, e.g. Modifications, maintenance etc etc.

You know a big boys day out in a 'convoy' of big boys motors and of course we can put a face to user names.

It' just a thought.

The roads from Macclesfield, Leek and Congleton to Buxton are worth a drive anyway. I'd love to get a group of FFRR's on the road from Macc to Buxton .We could reclaim the route back from the bikers and put big beautiful Range Rovers on the car park of the Cat & Fiddle. Mr. Green I digressed there Smile

PM me if you are interested. Remember this is an informal thing and we'll see how it goes.
Chris.

That's a start then. And I agree Congleton to Buxton is a great road. Anyone else interested in a nice Autumn drive out?

Yes, Chris - taking this in !

Just done a recce over to Crewe via Congleton today for my speed awareness (ahem) course . . . . cracking route

I'll have a ponder over roads in the Peak District. Don't worry - they won't get dirty Laughing

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Ive done a fair bit of walking in both the white peak and dark peak districts and would be interested in reclaiming the roads from the bikers Laughing There are parts of the snake pass that are a nice drive as well, are we talking about main road driving or green laning here ??

my poor car sitting outside the cat and fiddle as the doors had frozen shut @ -16 earlier this year,
I wonder if the ff can handle that ?

Off the beaten track proper roads or very soft green laning maybe when we get there. It depends what TUG may come up with. This is in it's very early planning stages. I was thinking some proper twisty roads, some fast straights and something scenic off the beaten track with a good place to end the day before we all make our way home.

As I say it's in it's early stages. Depending on who attends there may be one or two RV points before we make our way towards Bakewell/Matlock, a brew break somewhere, TUG's roads, and then somewhere to end the day over a beer.

All suggestions welcome.
