Rear Wash/Wipe - One-Way Valve?

Does anyone know the location of the one-way valve for the rear screen washer in a 2008 TDV8 Vogue?

It's now taking forever to get screen wash onto the rear screen - the (useless) dealer is saying there is no problem and it's due to the washer reservoir being in the front. Rolling Eyes

There are no obvious leaks (e.g. down the inside of the rear screen).

Thanks in advance ...

It all enclosed inside the motor, it's a one piece unit.

The first thing to do is check the jets not blocked with a pin. If no improvements and you are certain there's not a leaking hose behind the top tailgate trim, then I'd suggest a new motor. I replaced mine when it finally gave in but it was always a weak wash on the rear screen.

Replacement is easy though, I did a How To thread on it. Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks - it's definitely not a blocked nozzle as it does eventually work as it should if you keep the stalk pushed for long enough. Will investigate further for hidden leaks.

Good How-to, but I expect the warranty to sort it.

I'm not getting any water to my rear screen. The motor sounds like its running intermittently when held? Sort of a stop/start. The front is fine.

Any suggestions? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

On my 02 the inline non return valve is adjacent to the motor, when I replaced it a couple of years ago it was about £2.00. If on the later models it is integral to the motor you could cut the tube and use an inline one.
Cheaper than a new motor.

On a related note.....
how do you get the rear wiper to move to the half way position in a car with keyless entry and ignition so you can check the blade and unblock the nozzle?
If you start the wiper then switch off the engine the wiper continues to park itself off screen. I suppose I could pull the fuse but is there an easy way?

when the wiper starts to go down open the rear gate. it will stop the wiper arm. it will take some practice to get it right. Very Happy

Non return valve is situated just to the left of the wiper motor! It is not part of the wiper motor!! 2007 VOGUE SE 3.6 TDV8
