Had a set of these fitted today & I am really impressed. My pirelli were a bit quieter but as they were down to about 2.5 ml thought I would get some good winter tyres on a bit early. The owner of the company that fitted them says he runs them all year on his M5. Any thoughts anyone on what to do when spring comes & has anyone also ran this brand ? Mike

Vreds are fine all year round as the grip well and are hard wearing compared with some other Winter Tyres. Thumbs Up

Thanks confirms what he was saying, living out in the Lincolnshire wolds most of my commuting is on rural roads which are not gritted & with the best part of three tons on the move good tyres can mean getting home safe or sliding into one of the many deep dykes that run alongside most of our road network here!

What are they like as off tarmack tyres? I am trying to decide whether to fit AT/MT to my set of 19" rims or a set of winter tyres will be used on cold wet grass as well as mud they may be used on snow and ice depending on what the next winters throw at us. letters not necessarily in the right order

I should think they are quite good but not tried them yet, Mine only goes off road in the odd camping field. Would love to try green laneing but would be too scared of making it mucky lol

Depends how extreme you're going & what compromise you'll make.

In my experience the Vreds are great in snow & ice - also pretty good on wet grass. In mud, they're probably no better than a number of other FFRR tyres.

However, MT tyres are OK in snow, but crap on ice and even in the rain on tarmac - they are also very noisy - so only ever put them on if you're spending a lot of time off road.

AT's - somewhere in the middle - a bit noisier, OK in snow & ice and OK in the mud - a real compromise.

I tun Michelins in the summer & Vreds in the winter

Vredestein's are a great tyre and as many say you can run all year round, but best to swap if you can for best performance. Thumbs Up Andy....

As Leems is Ooop North and I am out west I think the chances of either of us coming in for fitting are 4/5ths of f... all.
it would be helpful to have an indication cost for a set of 5, but understand if you don't want to broadcast. Do you have them in stock? letters not necessarily in the right order
