France

thaks a lot for that Gary .

What is pitiful is that for many medium range brands , it looks like they were ALL designed by the same team !!!!

Not very much variety there . Jaybear

Nice to see a Triumph Rocket there - even though it's not as nice as mine.

Was it worth going Gaz - was thinking of going this weekend? I went in 2009 and thought it was a good show.

Well I went on Saturday.

Just seemed hall after hall of boring cars I had no interest in. The Kia stand - couldn't be bothered to look. The Suzuki stand - couldn't be bothered to look. The Ferrari stand - too many people to fight through to look, and it's closed anyway. That seemed to be the pattern of the show.

There wasn't enough engineering information for it to be interesting for me. Even the BMW stand had far fewer engine cut-aways than last time, even though it was a similar stand to the one I saw in 2009.

The JLR stand was better than last time, but in 2009 it was completely closed and you couldn't even see the then new XJ from all angles. The new Fullfat looked great, and up close quite a lot different to the sport and much more desirable.

Took my camera and a spare battery but didn't take any pictures in the end. I guess the show hadn't changed much from my last visit, but maybe I have. I just hated the crowds and the close proximity of so many people. It seems to bring out my natural misanthropy and put me in a bad mood. The boat show in Düsseldorf earlier this year was good, but it was far less crowded - maybe I picked the wrong day to go, a Saturday.

By the way, that Ford Vignale - who do they think they're kidding. The Mondeo is a good car, but they tried polishing it before with the Jaguar X Type and everyone saw through it and it just cheapened the Jaguar name. They tried it before that with Ghia and it just cheapened the Ghia name till it was meaningless, like GL or SE.

Really?

The crowds defeated me in that hall and I didn't get to see it. Laughing
