Insuring your Full Fat

Just insured our soon to arrive TDV8. Went on a comparison site and the quotes varied by £1200 from the cheapest to the most expensive.

Then read some reviews on the 3 cheapest firms and they were the lowest rated insurers in a Which? survey. Went for the one with the best review who was £25 more than the cheapest quote.

Wife as main driver + protected NCB, legal protection & courtesy car. Excess higher than I would like but it lowered the price.

£350 all in
Just wondered what others are paying

Mine came today - renew at £775 - just done some shopping around and my current insurer claim online ... £330 and the cheapest is £260. RIP OFF - going to ring them tomorrow and shout A LOT.

Admiral and Kwik Fit were the cheapest - and one, still laughing, was £10,765 .... nearest to it was £670. Not sure what happened there but avoid Acorn lol! Land Rover Addict

Oh Censored

Wishing I hadn't started this thread, only Rich has made me feel better !!

Where am I going wrong then? I'm in a low risk postcode, 9yr + NCB. Parked in cartlodge, (classified as driveway apparently as no doors)

I thought at 40 I would get cheaper insurance.
