Bye 4.2SC and welcome 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography

Have left the 4.2 SC (part exchange) and picked up the TDV8 last weekend by a LR dealer.
New one is a 2012 4.4 TDV8 AB manufacturer approved, has all the gizmos and 2 years of LR warranty.

God I love the car.

What a dilemma every time you walk out the door. Do I want a lot of Gs or a heap of Gs? Nice.

How does the performance of the 4.2SC compare to the 4.4? ______________________________

I personally don't feel much difference on performance between the 4.4TDV8 and the 4.2SC.
Maybe there will be difference on higher speeds (above 100mph), will test this in Germany in a few months.
The TDV8 has a very smooth/fast gearbox and a lot of torque compared to the 4.2SC.

About the porkies steering wheel i just can say that it's not at the wrong side Evil or Very Mad .
911 belongs to my misses and she is still afraid to drive with a RHD, therefore we brought her car from Belgium to the UK.
As 90% from he human population is right handed it's very normal that you do the precision work (changing gears) with your right hand.
Some people just will tell that steering is also precision work but according the traffic rules you must steer with 2 hands. So LHD is the wright way to drive Laughing

But anyway the 911 has a PDK (double clutch auto) and the RR is an automatic.

Presumably you & Mrs Volkan are not native to Brum then???

Clearly (being UK born & bred) the steering wheel should be on the Right driving in the UK sir... Thumbs Up

I'm currently in the States driving a LHD yank tank and in your wife's defence... This does feel VERY alien to my brain but... At least I'm on LHD roads! This at home would feel (double) alien Whistle Whistle Whistle

Congratulations! Good choice but I may be biased...

I like the lower grill arrangement....wonder why some have it and others have what I have?

Very nice! Thumbs Up

I own two LHD vehicles and have absolutely no problem driving them on UK roads. One is manual and the other automatic. Si. <This is my name.

Was very pleased last UK hire car was RHD. It was a good reminder to stay on the wrong side (to me) of the road. If I'd had a LHD, I think I would have 'surprised' a lot if other road users. Mr. Green

Now, I'd not have a problem with a RHD over here as I'm already used to which side of the road to stay on. And LR wise, they're all tall with good visibility.
