Pretty much the same as fronts, but you have the handbrake components to deal with so a bit more tricky. There is an inspection hole and plastic bung that you have to line up to release the handbrake shoes. Its quite easy once you have it lined up. From memory its at 6 oclock on the disk / drum face.

Hi Conor

There is a couple of different procedures in comparison to the front,

First there is the backing off of the handbrake pads, pretty easy as far as i can tell, but havent had to do mine yet.

The other is recalibrating the epb once you have changed the discs. Have a look at rave, both are detailed in there but thats about it.

Might as well have a look at the pads whilst you have the discs off as it cant hurt to clean up the mechanism. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks chaps I was waiting for you to do yours Mark Whistle

I don't need to do mine either but have new front discs and pads both brembo to go on and was going to do rears as well to keep all nice and shiney.

I read last night not sure if it works but sounds logical.... Apparently there is no need to wind back the EPB all you do is release the EPB with engine on and then leave it off. The disc can then be removed freely and no need to recalibrate the EPB. Obviously you will need to ensure wheels are chocked ... Anyone confirm this works might save us all time Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
