How's that for a quick and reliable service? Ordered the front Brembo brake kit from Advanced Factors yesterday and within 24 hours, a courier has just handed them to me, at the other end of the country!

Thanks Martin for the interjection and suggestion to look at A.F and thanks to Steve at A.F for a top service Thumbs Up

Brembo disc doesn't fit?

Took the car to the garage today. The mechanic stripped down the front driver's wheel and removed the old discs and pads and... the supplied Brembo discs do not fit.

The disc that was on, when placed disc/hub facing upwards on the floor, measures approx 82mm in height... the supplied Brembo disc when placed disc/hub facing upwards measures approx only 62mm in height meaning the caliper is too far away from the disc?

Morning

If you look at the original web page for this product you will see that the description of the kit is 012OE which is our correct kit number, unfortunately the line below has 003OE in it which is the correct kit number for a 4.2 RRS, a simple copy and paste exercise that didn't get finished correctly and would not have come to light with online orders but as I took this order over the phone for a 003OE I never looked any further, sorry my mistake.

Give me a call tomorrow and we will sort delivery of the correct discs and a pickup at same time. Paul Redding

Thanks Advanced Factors

Thanks very much to Steve @ Advanced Factors for pulling all the stops out to have the Brembo discs courier exchanged within 24 hours at no inconvenience to me.

It's rare to get such an honest and committed service and the forum is fortunate to have such a genuine sponsor.

Thumbs Up

All fitted!

Brembo front discs & pads just fitted this afternoon. The old pads were wafer thin and the discs were scored and rusting (maybe the original discs?).

A great improvement and the Brembo discs have a glossy, ceramic looking grey coated finish.

And, might be too early to be sure, but I'm thinking the smouldering front end burning smell I've been banging on about since getting the car has now gone.

Thumbs Up

Excellent Stan. Very capable and efficient. Plus low speed grind gone, plus sickly burning smouldering smell banished and which plagued the car for 11 months. The Brembo discs are really smart, having a gloss gun metal/graphite grey finish too so they look good sitting behind the wheel.
