That's fine great Stan - what I also was after was which was best to choose - I am guessing the one that 'drives' the cigar lighter socket, but would welcome any comments - don't really want to mess to much with FFRR electrics in the unknown -----------------------------

I bought a decent one and I leave it fixed in the car. It's not really that noticeable but if in doubt it's so easy to remove when you leave the vehicle parked.

Road angel hd camera with cigar lead in to centre console. When I leave the car I unplug the socket although you can programme the electronics to isolate the socket if it's set to be live after you lock the car as many are. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

Well ordered an 0803 mini dash cam a few weeks back after reading about it on here and a few other sites.
But I just had to get rid of the default boot/shut-down image.
So of to the dash cam site I went to find out how to change it for something more fitting.
Download the software so I could edit the file and re-flashed the firmware on the cam all done in about 30min

Well a new dash camera has been fitted to the FF.....at the rear and can be used as a back up cam or a rear view mirror when traveling forwards!

Pictures to follow on a new thread soon.

I have put together a 10 minute video showing you the basic steps as well as links for getting the tools needed and latest firmware.
