Fitted mine in the FFRR today following the instructions above, must say the quality is first class. We pay £1000's for in car video at work and this is easily as good.
User friendly, discreet and easily viewable on the mini-screen or the PC.
I thoroughly recommend it Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Ian

hi Welshdragon, I bought the same camera from amazon. I have a sandisk class 4 32gb card. and I am going to set it on my workvan tomorrow to test it. how are you getting on with yours? does it switch on auto with the 12v supply enabled when ign on etc.? I have obviously gone for 1080p mode, and will try it at 720p later in day.

John, my camera is working well at the moment, I did the firmware up grade and now waiting to fill up the sd card, this weekend will do that Very Happy
Yes it turns on/off with the ignition and have stuck with the 1080p, dont bother with down grading to 720p not worth it imo Thumbs Up
What firmware do you have? If it's same as mine you'll find that you'll get to 3 quarters full and then it turns off. Shocked If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Did you overcome the memory card not overwriting itself? Ian

Thanks T24res but alas no, think another update is required Evil or Very Mad ( 20131230 ?)
Its been recording fine after the last up grade, but halfway on my journey yesterday it just stopped, card full! I turned it back on manually but only recorded for a minute. So after I got to destination I reformatted the card, wiped every thing on it and after that then covering another 100-120 miles the camera recorded as should no issues but the card is only half full at the moment.

I cant believe its the sd card as many have the class 6 32g one with no problem.

Again I will do an upgrade and will report back, but as I don't do long mileages it takes a while to load up the card! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Camera came with 20131026, had issue with it not overwriting so then did the 20130924. again not over writing so guessing 20131230 will??

The camera is stable with the sd card though. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

depends what quality video you want and what you are prepared to pay for the dashcam...

i had a 720p mini cam which had poor video so i replaced it with a £20 1080p one which gives very acceptable video.
the reason i brought a cheap one is that a dashcam tends to be 'fit and forget' jobby and i couldnt see the point of spending £100 or so ....
ok to start with you'll be taking the card out and viewing the video because its a novelty but after a while it'll just 'be' there on your windscreen in case you have an incident...

loads of these about and its worth visiting this forum,

There have been 'issues' with the 0801 and the firmware, you just have to update them which is easy enough.
My 0801 has been updated again and its been very stable in recording, im just waiting to fill the sd card up to see if it will then rewrite over old files, im on the 1202 firmware.
Stans link is the best for info and if you join the forum someone replys to your questions very quickly too. Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Thought I would share this for the 0801 owners out there. The start up picture just wasn't right imo so had someone on an other forum I go on change the picture, so its now on a LR logo, much better IMO and matches the LR logo in the dash screen Cool

the old start up/close down picture

The new start up/close down picture

A worthy up grade me thinks Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
