VW Tiguan

Hi all


I'm thinking of getting SWMBO a Tiguan has anyone got one and whats your view on it.
I'm thinking of 140 BHP 4 motion

SWMBO has a Black Tiguan 2.0 140 Sport DSG 4Motion I bought her new in 2008 and she would not part with it. I have to say the go-cart like DSG box is brilliant and it drives more like a Golf than a 4x4. Its not small but feels very car like to drive when I swap from the Range Rover. Highly recommended as a safe reliable SWMBO carrier. Thumbs Up (35MPG average Urban as well)

The director at my office has one, 10 plate i think.

He has had a few turbo related issues, one that killed the engine a few days before the warranty cut off and just before xmas. spent a few weeks at the dealer as they pulled it apart and replaced it all. Service wasn't bad he said as they initially tried to wriggle but he proved FSH with their dealers(although not the repairing one) and it was then all cleared up. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

Watch out for DSG box, mine needed a new mechatronics unit, thankfully under warranty but google is your freind, plenty of horror stories. -----------------------------------------------------------

One of my neighbours is a VW-fan and runs a Toerag and a Tiguan, he says what the others do...feels like a golf when your driving it but plenty of space...and being VW it'll be a good all rounder. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

My aunt and uncle bought a new 2.0 petrol turbo Tiguan with all the kit on a few years ago. Never been any trouble.

They have just bought a touareg so the Tiguan is for sale I think. Most people want a diesel though and not a 200 plus bhp manual petrol.....
