United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black
ignition fault maybe.

This car is giving me more greif now. Censored
Has any one heard of any potential problems with the ignition circuit ie relays or switch. I had a problem a couple of weeks ago where the key would turn on the accsessory 1 but when you go to acc 2 nothing comes on and the steering wheel dosent move into position and no attempt at starting up. At this time i was suffering with electrical problems wich turned out to be the alternator.
Thats all fixed now but and the problem kind of went away just before doing alternator. But now the ignition has started doing it again. Big Cry short vid of whats happening Thumbs Up

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

My guess would be the ignition switch itself, it's got a mechanical part in the bottom that makes the connection when you turn the key, these are known to wear and fail on the earlier cars so I suppose as the later ones age it could happen as well, you don't need the whole switch, just the bottom part of it so you keep your key and barrel, well, that's if it's the same as the earlier ones....

It is only a guess, could be a poor earth, ignition relay, immobiliser or some other ECU fault.... Pete
