LPG next week

Picking up my 58 reg 4.2sc Saturday and can't wait, the last week has dragged. Thanks to my new neighbour Andy B I will be booking the new beauty into A-Z lpg converters in New Malden next week.

Spoke to Warren, who only uses BRC which I have on my 99 SL500 and which causes absolutely no power drop, and he has worked on a number of 4.2sc's and has updated BRC over the years to the problems this particular engine etc can have with LPG.

At the weekend I will take photos of the new family member and the engine compartment, pre LPG. I will then update with post LPG photo's and will run a monthly diary of how we all get on together.

I am a massive fan of saving money and a near 48% cut in fuel costs is a no brainer as far as i'm concerned. What I have learnt is that those dead against it for whatever reason, whether on the Merc site or this site have the louder voice. I intend changing that with fact.

Happy motoring

Gary
