Check the part numbers on the TV Unit and Bluetooth, if both work as you say then they've probably been upgraded by a previous owner.

As the saying goes...'If it works, why try to fix it?'

I think there are different types of digital tuner depending on when the tuner was brought out. I got a Hybrid TV unit out of a 2010 RRS, which includes the channel guide listings when you change channels.

yes there are different tuners and Bluetooth modules!! the later tuner is much smaller and has the listings displayed on the bottom of the screen.

there is also a newer phone module that lets you connect iphone etc, you just have to look out for them on ebay or get in touch with Wiggs!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

As I posted earlier,

yes ther are different tuners...but size is not important. OP already has digi tv on his car, so probably aleady been upgraded (why chuck out a £250 odd hybrid tuner to get another £250 plus unit, just so you have tv listings on the screen...P.S. That's what I get with my upgrade unit, from a 2010 RRS, but I wouldn't have paid more or less for the box, it was to go from a defunct analogue unit).

If OP can get bluetooth connectivity on his iPhone 5 (as he says in his first post), then I reckon he doesn't need to upgrade.

As I said earlier...'Why...'?

I did read the original post!! I was not inferring that you should spend money just to have a smaller box, but just trying to answer the are there different units out there question and yes there are! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Stu,

Sorry, wasn't having a go at you, what you said was spot on Bow down Bow down

... but we don't know what the OP has got in the way of kit in his FFRR. Unless he can give us the type / serial nos. of his units, he might as well stick with what he's got. For all we know, he has the most up-to-date equipment, so to advise him to upgrade or not... Whistle Whistle Whistle

Yeah seems like you fell on your feet with the menu on screen, obviously as you say later model.
I know this is the wrong place really, but what's wrong with your FBH and battery? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

No worries Stu. Thumbs Up

Sandyt, you're definately a lucky bunny there.. I had the analogue TV and old style nokia unit when I got my FF, it's cost me a good few bob for an upgraded Hybrid unit and I haven't got round to upgrading the Nokia bluetooth yet. I ended up getting an old phone cradle and Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone (that fits in the centre console cubby) to get the handsfree experience!

I'm sure there'll be plenty of guys on here who will be able to help with the other issues you've got.

Sorry to resurrect, but I am having a few challenges with iPhone 5...... but not the ones I expect. Crackling noise on about 50% of calls, but otherwise works fine. Worked OK with my previous blackberry.

Is this something Wigs can fix....is it a broken module.... is it an upgrade.... is it another example of LR electronics ? 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Jon,

You probably have the older style BT unit that hasn't been upgraded.

Wiggs i believe offers this service but not sure how busy he is at the moment.

Where in the UK are you?

If there is someone near you with a BBS Faultmate then swapping the unit into their FF and performing the upgrade is only 30mins work Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
