United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

Interestingly I have a 2007 new interior 4.2 s/c and am looking at changing but not for the looks more the 5.0 l engine so for me it is prob the 2009 with the 5l but keeping the Brembos so as you can see each to their own whatever you do enjoy it and don't try and justify the cash as it is all madness Very Happy

It was a cheapskate decision, but unless you're constantly doing 130-60 on the motorway I'd be surprised if you'd ever notice the difference in day-to-day driving. If they can get the ABS going (which they can), the big 2011-on Brembos won't stop you any more quickly because the grip of the tyres are the limiting factor. Big brakes are all about heat dissipation to avoid fade.

England 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Luxor

Thanks all - the Brembo discussion was lost on me, mine has them and it stops fine, it's also got a sunroof (had it open today), towbar ( use all the time for my bike) and sidesteps (for SWMBO and her Censored mother when I let them in the car)and it's a good colour, well it's a colour, not grey, black or white, which don't do it for me, although I understand others like 'em.

So inertia rules and as I've just spent quite a bit getting it through the test, I will keep it for another year at least. I've started collecting bits for a facelift but I think only the cognoscenti (us Very Happy) really notice the difference and of course we can also spot it's an older car anyway so I might not bother although I have done some tasteful pimping. New V Spoke just arrived today as well so I have a full set, it bothered me having an odd spare.

Now I've got to get on with fixing the parking sensors, they've only been broken for 3 years Whistle and there are a few other niggles that need sorting but there's no rush - mañana mañana Geoff

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I am starting to get a 5l itch, but realistically cant justify the extra outlay Rolling Eyes

Did the 5l get the 6 pot calipers or keep the 4 pots of the tdv8/4.2sc, cos the pads and discs are silly money compared to the 4 pot brembos.

Grrr, must go and drive a 5.0.......... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Trommel not trying to be rude here but why is it always the assumption by yourself that people with a facelift FFRR are trying to fool people - I relish telling people that my car is only a 2003 as it looks so much newer and I happen to think the front end in particular looks much better for it!

I reckon it would be impossible to tell a properly facelifted OEM standard FFRR which had been facelifted without actually looking at the interior (particularly if it were a later model with the newer rear quarter glazing and mirrors).

You're obviously someone who would decieve people yourself if that's the way you think of others.... Rolling with laughter

..... anyway lots to do - I've got to go and stick an L405 grill on my full fat then call all the neighbours and advise them that I've bought a 100k new Range Rover..... maybe I'll invite them round for a candle light super, Keeping Up Apperances style so I can brag about my 100k full fat and my three piece suite, which is a genuine reproduction of the one at Balmoral Rolling with laughter Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White

"Hey everyone, look, look! My car looks newer than it is, if you don't look too closely!"

Well done.

The facelift might look newer but it certainly isn't an improvement on the original design - just fussier and flashier. A lot of people appear to like fussiness and flashiness (hence current Land Rover design trends and the huge market in aftermarket tat for them). So be it.
