Bulbs on the right...Ones on the left are sidelights!

Installed these the other day. Definitely an improvement, but not day and night. You don't have to butcher the light housing, they just fit and you can't see these bulbs through the lense in the day time. Perfect for most!

Bulbs arrived, fitted this morning, started car, selected reverse, Bong "check reverse lights" displayed, soooo
they DO create a fault on the fatty (07 facelift 4.2 Supercharged) Big Cry .

Spoke to the seller, were very apologetic and are issuing a refund today, said to keep the bulbs. Interested to see if anyone else has same problem.

Strider, I was a little disappointed to learn that although they are advertised as 'Error Free', there still errored on my 07 SC.

I just turned off hot and cold bulb monitoring for the reverse lights with my IIDTool.
This way the car doesnt check the bulbs, so doesnt error. Not ideal but will do as its very easy to notice if one blows (Although unlikely) because you will see on the reversing camera at night. Also i much prefer them over the normal bulbs, so worth the small sacrifice!

Cheers, Jordan

Shocked I'm surprised to hear that the bulbs are monitored full stop.. the 2011 ffrr that I did for Cavalier, weren't canbus and didn't throw any faults... but they were 2 x 6 watt panels in each light... obviously enough load not to cause a fault.. So that's another vote for splitting the lens and going bigger Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I also bought a set of these on the basis of JPHC's posted information. It looks as if the Auction Details have been updated to indicate that they may throw up bulb failure errors so no chance now of a refund.

I don't have a IIDTool to disable the bulb failure warning system so I'm sticking with the uprated standard type bulbs I obtained from Hungary Peter Kemp

Did you check to see if the bulbs actually illuminated, wrong polarity will cause them not to light and cause the error. 2007 TDV8 VSE

I've fitted these and the reversing lightt output is very good and a great improvement on standard output
Mine also flash in time with the indicators but led red - a bit to policey (?) but have been through 2 MOTs with no issues

Also with upgraded bulbs to original lamps, with no error bongs

Hi Wayneg,
"Did you check to see if the bulbs actually illuminated, wrong polarity will cause them not to light and cause the error".

Yes I did check, they were very bright, regarding the fitting, they will only fit one way as one of the location pins is offset (when bulb is viewed end on ie the pins are not in line), the bulb has one central +contact the body is the return.

Cheers
Peter

babagee, in reply to your last post...... I did Quote you but that seems to have evaporated Shocked

That is because you have exceeded 6 watts per side, the LCM thinks that you have a normal functioning bulb and all is OK Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
