Every little helps!!

Stopped in traffic last night (car two ahead of us turning right) and nice Tesco delivery driver sailed straight into the back of our MY 2010 TDV8 Vogue Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Give it a good whack at about 20mph and re-shaped the bumper into a whole new design Neutral

He apologised profusely and said he never saw us stopped!! That will be 3 tonnes of metal in front of you mate. Big shiny thing!!

Had my foot hard on the brake so the old girl did not go forward and hit the one in front thank God!! Gets real messy on paperwork when that happens.

Remarkbly little damage for a good shunt but the bumper is hard up again the tailgate assembly so me thinks there has been some crush damage on the bracketry and mounts no doubt.

Anyway in she goes for a bit of love and care. Insurance company have a new Land Rover (not sure what yet) on its way (promised FFRR or RRS). Car authorised for repair by local LR stealer (having stated that NO they could not take it to the local authorised repairer a few miles away which is a Peugot garage) !!!!! WTF!!!! Shocked

Specialist luxury car. 5 Months Old. It is going to Land Rover matey. End of discussion. Confused

And it was such a sunny evening. Nobody hurt. Her indoors not best pleased as she was in passenger seat Big Cry

Tesco man a bit upset as he said he would be for the high jump Question Not my problem. Pay attention next time. Sheep Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly.

Tell the LR man you want all new parts and no repairs! The loss adjuster may try to force a repair to the bumper, if it is repairable.

Loan car has just arrived. BMW X5 3.0D twin turbo thingy Question Question Question

As we were promised a Vogue this is a bit of a surprise but anyway, debated buying one but hate the fat backside and tire design it seems to have developed over the last 12 or so months Whistle

Time for some road testing and comparisons to be made. I am not expecting comfortable. The X5 we once owned was like a go kart on fat tryres and hard suspension.

The day just got more interesting. Time to thrash (sorry spell checker broken), I mean test gently the new beemer Twisted Evil

Broken old girl been gone for 10 days and is sitting at stealers awaiting a new rear bumper. Currently no ETA from Land Rover (or JCB and that is not a misspelling Shocked ) for a new one Evil or Very Mad

Looks llike my Vogue is made by a digger driver Exclamation They must be into injection moulding for industry Question

Put a call in a few minutes ago for rental company to take back the X5 - it is rubbish. Corners like it is on rails (very nice) but as an MSport on run 22" flat tyres - my spine can take no more of it. It is like being in a go kart Neutral

As always, this is turning aout to be a real saga. Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van).
