Odd Clock Behaviour

Noticed some strange clock behaviour in the last few days. Firstly my wife noticed it just going around and around on it's own. I then decided to check the clock setting which was wrong so then set it correctly and it went on to the correct time.

Noticed a couple of times that my clock is wrong but obviously no idea why.

Any ideas from the assembled masses ?

Battery all 100% and alternator working fine so does not seem to be any electrikery challenges. Starts fine, all other gizmo's seem unaffected. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Mine did it once last year, never done it again. I did come across a post on a US owners site that suggested a bad earth somewhere. You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans

I just wonder if it did it in the night and kept going could it be a cause of battery drain 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

You could point a camera at it during the night to record it, or drink a lot of coffee and stay up late Smile
I guess in theory its possible it can do it during the night. But it seems such a random thing. You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans

There is a software update which helps the car remember the radio and clock settings, mine did it when switching between keys!

Has been better since. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

One thing that drives me potty on approved used cars is the fact that the dealers do not seem to do a global software update. Would seem like common sense to me. Mine has been back a few times for updates and they only ever do the one in question at the time. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography
