re removing the tuner, i think its do-a-ble, this from the denso info shows the tv tuner dotted so it seems its an option to have or not.....

here might be a possible alternative to get TV in your FF..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201013732577?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

you connect a 12 volt powered home digital box with av output to this unit and tune your analogue FF tuner to the receiving channel..
the digital box will have to be connected to the FF's antenna or an after market antenna.. ... - .- -.

I use mine when I turn up hours early at the ferry port on my tri annual trips to France, a spot of TV, a nice brew, ever so relaxing Smile 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

^ no flat battery? Mr. Green

@lolo, your find is much better Wink

this 'transmitter' could be used for a reverse camera or anykind video surveillance like small children in the back for instance, and it goes without saying that it would work for the many UK FF owners that have analogue TV.. ... - .- -.

dont think that one will work lolo, it doesn't transmit a wireless signal for your tuner to pick up.. ... - .- -.

again , both those cant transmit a signal..

the FF tuner already has a modulator , its a wireless TV signal it needs to show a picture and as the analogue system has been switched off you need a replacement local analogue transmitter which would be that gold unit you found..

I've been thinking about getting a hybrid tuner for my car as it stopped getting tv signals.
today while I was queueing for LPG I was fiddling with the ent screen out of boredom
pressed TV pressed Auto pressed the left button lo and behold I got CBeebies! Smile
found a bunch of other channels I'd never seen before but as soon as I moved from the forecourt it all went again so I can only presume I live in a sh17 reception area, and that I already have a hybrid tuner
