TATA'S

TATA'S CUTBACKS

Found out today that TATA'S cutbacks in the next few months LR ASSISTANCE will be done away with and all the call-out work will be carried out by the AA.

And the LR Assist Technicians have now had their usual D3 replaced by a volkswagen van as TATA say that has a saving across the board.

Plus future Land Rovers could be getting built in India Whistle Whistle Evil or Very Mad

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

This is as we all we all know well can not go well, a couple of months ago I call LR assist with another seized brake calliper and was told by LR that an engineer was on their way. Engineer = local tow truck, local tow truck says "cant do brakes "
FullFat towed away and 24 hours later a BMW 320 turns up . 4 days later I have called every body to say this is not what I have paid fore with my warranty only to be told that LR assist no longer use Enterprise but now use Avis on a two day only contract , after that your stealer must pay the car hire . There is a lot more to this story but in the end I pay £170 to have a crappy BMW delivered to my house because the warranty no longer covered car hire out side Avis's area.

England 2006 Range Rover SE Td6 Java Black

The LR Assistance chap that came out to me the other week told me that he was having to buy his own car as he was no longer allowed to use his D3 for private use. Oddly enough, he wasn't buying a Landrover.

There is good news with TATA owning LR. It means they'll still be building defenders and MkIII RR's in India for the next 40 years (as per Morris Oxfords etc.) Very Happy Very Happy
