Is there a way to connect my USB stick to the audio system on my 2006 4.2SC?

TIA.

You have to use the correct folder structure to make the MP3 CD's work.

I used to have an iPod with a cable connected to the aux inputs in the back

I then upgraded & fitted the £500 LR iPod interface - which is better, but IMHO not £500 worth

If I was doing it again, I'd stick with the cable.

Do you have an Aux input anywhere - mine was in the back of the armrest

You only get an aux input if you have the RSE (rear seat entertainment) package on this year of vehicle (min'e a 56 plate without RSE and I don't have an aux input, but the MPO3 CD's work well Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Thanks. Thumbs Up

If it's factory rse then it will be under the flap below the rear vents, in the back of the centre cubby. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks very much. Thumbs Up Found it now.

Does anyone know if there will be any difference in sound quality using an Aux to USB cable?

To burn MP3 discs burn them as data discs NOT audio discs. I did that and have no problems with them being recognised or with structure or layers. Just straightforward burn to disc. HTH John

I'll try to play my music through the AUX/USB first and if that doesn't work, I'll be using the CD's as you suggest.

Sorry......

Memory stick won't work in aux sockets, need an MP3 player, or phone with audio to use them. And then you can only control the music through the device not the car.

They are analogue only, so playing music through them will require something with a headphone out jack or way to output to phono jacks or 3.5mm jack. You will not be able to plug your memory stick into the car directly and have control on the screen unless you have something like craig suggested. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
