iPod Link work for iPad?

Just got my Vogue, it has an iPod link port but no cable.

1/ Will it work with iPad and iPhone as well?
2/ If playing movie on iDevices, will it play sound back through car speaker system?

Anyone got the cable and iPad that can tell me before I bother getting one...
I have iPads for rear entertainment, thinking about getting a StudioPROPER mount or maybe two.

Hi CAD,

You might want to check out this thread :-

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic25541.html

And here is the cable :-

Got the Tune2Air bluetooth dongle and it works fine. Can't see any reason why the I-Pad would not work as well....I've got an Air 32gb, so I'll try it out and see (not tonight though, out on the lash!).

Cheers,

Thanks Andy,

I'm liking the Tune2Air, would appreciate your testing the iPad streaming sound from Video playback, once you've had your fill of alcohol... OK, maybe when you sober up Smile 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

No probs CAD. Surprised LR don't do a lightening connector, it's just the older style I-Pad3 one. I note there are some cheaper ones on Amazon, but this one has good reviews.

So I'll check out the movie sound via both the Tune2Air and via the cable using the lightening converter dongle thingy.....when I have sobered up Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Hi CAD,

Right, connected the I-Pad Air via the Tune2Air first using bluetooth. Played Avatar on the pad and sound comes through the speakers no problem. Then tried using the cable with the lightening adapter, same result sound came through the car speaker system.

So all good!

Andy,

You are a star, many thanks.

I've ordered a headrest mount & matched case from here http://www.studioproper.com/products/headrest-mount
Might try and mod it to make it minimally obtrusive as well.

Next step link cable and Tune2Air to make it seamless.

That should shut Mrs CAD up about lack of rear entertainment since the 'upgrade' Smile 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

My pleasure CAD, headrest mount looks the biz and should keep the breadsnappers in the back happy!

Cheers,

Andy
