Autobiography sill lights

Hi Guys. Picked up my new 405 today just noted the sill plates don't illuminate. Should they if so do I need to switch something on? Fantastic car. Range Rover number 12 and the best yet. Awesome. 2006 S/C owned from new. Black, sand with black inserts. Shes a thirsty girl. ( now gone)

yes I tried that of course!!!!

It turned out to be the fact that the main interior light was switched off. Ha blinded by science after all these years!
