Spain 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi Guys,

I thought as many of you contributed to this thread 2 years ago, that some may be interested in what happened next, well if your sitting comfortably, I'II begin.

As you may have guessed if you read of my concerns with TD6 FFRR'S, I chickened out and did what I thought was safe, and bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 crd (my 3rd Jeep over many years), big mistake.

My 2 previous Jeeps, a 1997 5.2 V8 and a 2001 4.7 V8 where close to faultless, but this 2005 is a pile of.... well you know.

Electronics problems, rusty fuel tank, leaking injectors and more, so, it had to go. Now around the same time I found I had a little spare capital, and the inevitable happened

She's a LHD 2007 TDV8, and I'm delighted, we have to pay a big premium over here for LHD cars compared with the UK, but I'm happy with the price I paid.

I'm now in the middle of my first long trip to the Costa Blanca for a break, and on the way down got (a calculated tank to tank) 27.2 mpg, impressed

So all, thanks for the encouragement, it took me 2 years, but I got there.

David.
