Hi guys,

Pick my 2010 VSE tomorrow from LR dealer. As you can imagine I am very excited and have a few Q's.

1/ Do the DRL's work without you turning on the side lights?
2/ How do I check the FBH works
3/ I have dual screen, can the wife watch TV, DVD on it whilst I drive?
4/ Is there another video entry source like AV in that would be picked up (from an ipod or similar)
5/ still wondering if I can remove the cherry wood trim to enable it to be wrapped black?

very jealous!!

1). DRL's should be on all the time you have the ignition on, but they should go out when dipped headlights are on (Motor vehicle Construction and use regulations)

2) Should have a remote to turn this on, but I don't have this facility, sure someone more knowledgeable will be along in due course.

3). Yes, that is the whole idea of dual screen.

4). Don't know (Don't have these toys on mine - not even an Aux input!!)

5). No reason why you will be unable to remove the cherry wood trim to wrap it - workshop manuals are available on the WIKI here if you can't see how to get the trims off, again, if you search on here for 'piano black trim', others have already done it.

1. Apparently the DRLs (LED light rings) don't come on separately when DRL is enabled in the CCF. Camtech Craig and SteveMFr can tell you more about that.
2. FBH works on diesels to help warm the engine if ambient temp is below a certain temperature. Some also have the remote. With the present summer weather, I suggest you find a big cool storage place like a freezer and test it there
3. Yes, you will not be able to see the screen running TV/DVD etc. while you could be looking at the Nav system or the 4wd screen etc. Amazing to see it work, I was turning the TV on for my mum and heard the sound but didn't realize the picture was already up until I leaned over to her side.
4. Depends on your build, it can be speced. Mine has an iPod integration kit built in, with the cable.
5. Depends on the rest of the internals whether black enhances it. I have sand with burlwood (Autobiography) and wouldn't dream of changing it to black. My 4.2 SC is perfect with the black interior and piano black all around in a silver car. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

If it has the Red, White and Red "sockets" at the rear of the center console (in front of the center rear passenger) you will be able to add an additional video source.
