They will fit, but the wheels will have 275 tyres on with a lower profile, that's of course if you have rrs tyres with them.

They will be 9J width not 8.5J which is a stretch for the standard fit 255 ff tyres.

But to answer your question, the nuts should be the same on a 2005 plus ff.

Well the overall circumference will be less so the speedo will be a bit out, as the car won't go as far per wheel revolution.

It's not a million miles off, as the aspect ratio is a % so 275/45 which is the rrs size has a sidewall height of 45% of 275mm. Whereas standard ff size is 255 / 50 so 50% of 255 mm, times 2 as there are 2 sides to the tyre added to alloy dia is the diameter.

There are web sites that can calculate everything for you.

The main worry is that the car is not type approved with those wheels and tyres, so irrespective of the whys and wherefores, your insurance will not be valid unless you agree it with them.

Plenty have them fitted though.

You will find a 295 by something tyre is actually closer to the standard ff size for overall rolling circumference. Just depends what your personal take is on it. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Your are most welcome. If you have all the info, you can then make an informed decision, as you see fit.

If you were not sure, the issue is the width of the alloys, as 9J is 9 inch wide at the rim, a 8.5J is obviously half an inch narrower and the standard 255 tyre is not really wide enough to seat on the alloy rim properly on a 9 inch wide alloy, hence a wider tyre being needed.

The alloys sit a bit further out if you fit an rrs alloy, that's the offset from the hub. The ff does seem to have a more purposefull stance.

Have you got some to put on ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

that said, the 275/45's struggle to fill the arches so some members have gone with 295/45 on the same rim which look better... '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

many thanks for that they look good.

Would I have to inform my insurance company if I fitted them?

I think you could but I think all that matters is that the wheel and tyre meeting the load requirements as a minimum as in 109 on tyres not sure what whhel load weighting is I know on disco3 it was about 980 kg per corner. Some of the replica wheels certainily do not meet the load rating and therefore won't be suitable Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Good read above

I fancy a set of style 5 RR Sport rims for my L322, they are mint and genuine rr plus my insurance says no premium hike 👌

Interestingly they have the correct size tyres fitted is 255/55/19 so just to protect myself are these a straight swap ? Many thanks
Paul

YES - assuming you want valid insurance.

Any undeclared modification would give them room to wriggle out of a claim. If its different to the build sheet of the car, then declare it.

I just put alloy wheels - additional value zero and with most companies it doesn't affect the premium, but is stated on the policy so I'm covered Thumbs Up

RRS use narrower 19” wheels then the 20” wheels so the 19” wheels use the same size tyres as the FF Thumbs Up
