boot release

hi all, this is my first post and will start with a moan. who at land rover thought that putting the interior boot release switch at knee level on the dash was a good idea .reverse parked in garage tonight turned round to get my jacket off back seat when my knee hit switch . i did not have time to do any thing but watch the boot hit garage wall . will inspect for damage in the morning. can the switch be disconnected??.
so mr land rover move or redesign the switch i.e. pull to open push to close.
the storage area on the right hand side of boot does any one know if you get an elasticated net to put across to stop stuff rolling about the boot
thanks

Welcome to the forum, Scott.

When I first got the car I occasionally kneed the boot switch. It was normally when getting in. I have to take care getting in and be ready to hit the switch again if there is a risk of damage.

Not sure if part number VPLVS0175 is a suitable boot organiser.

I use the elasticated net that covers the whole floor and that helps to hold smaller items too.

I fitted the parts for L322 and side net, works perfect! Not had issues with knee!

I have the rubber boot mat. Is great as it prevents stuff from sliding about.

I too have released the rear hatch into the garage door while cleaning the dash , I hate when it's your own fault damaging the car ! As for the side cut out in the boot area I was told buy JLR salesman this cutout is to accommodate a set of gulf clubs.
I tried it and low and behold he was telling the truth ! I hope this solves the mystery why there is no net fitted!
