anyone installed one of these in 05 early touchscreen ff

my new FF is an 2005 model, with touchscreen. doesnt have TV or GPS

has a nokia unit in the back left, but doesnt even show up on bluetooth discovery. and has a crappy installed parrot kit

was looking for something to integrate iphone 5s and have come across

http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/car-acc...rover-2004

it seems to suggest would work, you disconnect the CD changer and get bluetooth, usb and phone

just wondering has anyone used one??

reading the small print, note 3 adjacent to the pre and post screen type, it states the Multi CD player will have to be disconnected - fine if your an IPOD only ……..

yep, it replaces cd changer

for me thats not a big deal, cant remember last time i used a cd

i have 2 older ipods just sitting around, so could leave one permanently connected

also all of family use iphones so always have music with us

same here but thought id just highlight it …. anyway ….
read up is just what i need with the track selection and access via the steering controls…… too good at that price ?
i believe theres ample room on the lower left side being dash / glove box area for this item for a self install.
Ive not enquired directly to them for a install price just for reference.

Im reasonably happy with my hidden DAB install but a lot of flying leads in my centre console and cigarette lighter is my only issue, so i would loose DAB but gain track info and steering controls for nigh on £300 quid …… I'm watching this closely.

so really what we are saying is that on paper it looks like a straight swap of cd player for an iPod?

I read on the website and it says full iPod/USB but nothing about streaming music or Bluetooth unless I have missed that somewhere? Seems to be iPod integration only but no phone.

Thumbs Up

Strange that they don't obviously list it on the site though as makes it a lot more useable.
