we all do not have them anymore , that was before many years ago.

we need something like this Now

its very clear that you have achieved and completed more than one project on you car , good job man Thumbs Up

also i have noted in the picture you have included that you are using the new flip key , and maybe you could help also in this issue.
I have one like that, but because i was not able to find the correct position where the internal chip should be installed , i was not able to start the engine till now, so i am still using the old key.

my friend thank you so much in advanced

John,

It wires/plugs in to the original wiring. I had more work to do as I removed the amp, the 12v acc and 12v batt are in the plug already, it then has an earth and a 12v out for the aerial amplifier, they had the panel lights wired to the can bus box but this didn't work on mine so I wired them into the rear near side, side light as it's next to the rest of the wiring in the boot, the side lights aren't on can bus so no faults or problems with that.... then the speakers. Have no errors at all and everything works fine. You do need a long aerial lead to get from the head unit to the boot....

I cut and soldered the wires but it is totally reversable to return to stock.

Just sold my old head unit and GPS DVD (both were working perfectly) for £305 on eBay so it's cost me £25 so far !!! Very Happy Very Happy

started to install this tonight and have an issue with the connector Sad
this looks like the one supplied

pulled the one out of the amp and the tunner and there is no way they will fit

so is it the wrong one ??? or am I looking in the wrong place ????

It plugs into the radio plug, radio is the small one furthest into the boot and furthest towards the middle of the car, I removed the plastic panel on the boot floor that the removable boot floor sits on, remove the tie down strap in that corner, then the two net hooks on the rear piece (they twist 90deg to remove) then remove small panel that runs up the inside of the boot opening, remove net hook at bottom of subwoofer cover, then boot floor plastic is three 10mm plastic nuts.

If you have small hands you maybe able to get the radio plug out without doing all that...

Sorry, I'm away for the weekend so haven't got any pics with me... Pete

You need a 5 meter aerial lead and a fakra convertor to sort the aerial out, there is a standard plug in the back of the new unit, but the aerial is in the boot.....

Get a good quality shielded cable or you will get interference, I got a 4mtr and 2mtr one from Halfords and there rubbish.... I'll be changing them soon... Pete

Haylands
Got the lead from maplins, twin shield coax, it was 3.39 p/m and the connectors were £1.50 each Smile

Had it all working before I did the final routing of the cables, just forgot to plug it in to the head unit Censored Big Cry

I did remove the centre dash speaker ( under the grill) I am now thinking I could cut that and get to it and make a bit to replace the grill to present the cables I want, usb etc , and house a forward cam.

for anyone else with one of the Android units who is having a few issues

"SD card unexpectedly removed "

1. Insert the USB memory stick / SD Card into computer.
2. Format it as ExFAT in normal way [uncheck the Quick Format box]
3. Go to you car and insert it into the unit.
4. The unit will see the drive but it will ask you to format it. Press FORMAT.
5. From this point, it will work.

access to the factory settings so you can change the start up splash screen is 126 Smile

@Haylands I have an '02Vogue with DSP and would like to mirror your install but add the TV tuner.

I am about to contact the eBay seller (easyrising88)and would be greatful if you could confirm exactly what you bought so I can get my order right first time pls.

I see an option for an extension lead, power lead and canbus decoder and am not sure what I'll need.

Also if you do have any advice regarding the install and don't mind, could you forward them to me pls (nilrem280@gmail.com)

Thanks in advance

Sorry, never noticed your message

you need the latest head unit, they seem to bring new ones out all the time, you also want the extension lead, which comes with the can bus box.. and they do a TV box with aerial

You will also need a 5mtr shielded Aerial lead for the radio and a standard to fakra connector.

Where in the UK are you?? Pete

Hi mate, thanks for replying. I'm down south in Portsmouth.

I'm currently corresponding with 'Penny' from easyrising88 to order an ES9753EU head unit.

They list an extension lead, power lead and canbox all as extra's , so if you could confirm exactly what you ordered I'd be grateful.

I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron so don't expect any issues 'but' I'd appreciate any pointers you do have as there is a lot of wiring back there to sort through.

Cheers Pete

I went through Erisin themselves, I think easyriding sell their stuff...

Try Crystal at erisintechservice@erisin.com

Power lead was within the extension lead, comes with a short lead as standard with a canbus box, get the long lead and the canbus box plugs into that, it's then plug and play with the radio plug in the boot, you need the later 40pin extension lead...

Email Crystal and tell her you want what Peter Hitchcock had plus the TV tuner, she will sort you out.... Pete
