HELP - Need suggestions about alloys!

Hello guys.

Although i've probably asked before, i am looking for help choosing some alloys for my FFRR.

Looked at some Stormers, in gunmetal. The guy only wanted £600, could have got them for £1100 or so with pirelli's or toyos, but i thought they were going to be fake at that price.

Would like some stormers, or other Land Rover/ Range Rover wheels (no other make, unless Kahn maybe)

But i can't decide whether to get 20" or 22" simply because i've heard ride quality is bad on 22" but that its fine if you don't offroad. Someone on here said you jolt or something when you go into full steering lock with 22" which i wouldn't like to be honest.

I think if you are going to do a wheel upgrade, you should go for the full lot (22", not 24") I think 22" look good but i hear they scuff too easy.

Price range - £600 - £1000

Would like them at a good price, if they are second hand alloys to have good tyres (6mm+ tread) no scuffs etc.

Not sure what i want, so if someone could point me into the right direction, or where to get cheap Stormers / LR / RR alloys.

Thanks!

You wont get New OEM Stormers for that money and if used and genuine within budget they will have RRS Tyre fittings

This topic has come up loads but overall i would always say stick to OEM not reps

I would settle for overfinch 22s if i had to go 22 but ride will be compromised

So the 20" stormer brand new were replica? I asked for pictures of the Stamp/load weight and he said "they are sold" so abit fishy.

Just want a nice set. I think Overfinch are bit pricey for myself at the moment.

Any other good alloys in my price range?

20" Genuine Stormers have the wrong offset for a Full Fat

Genuine Overfinch are nice but expensive

If i had the stormers on would that effect ride quality as they are more suited to the sport?

pjs, i've been looking into this and have found that the normal 20'' tyre size for ffrr is 255/50/20 and for the sport its 275/40/20 ..the difference in the sport tyre circumference is -109mm which means that when your speedo reads 70mph you would actually be travelling at 67mph and you also get a 5/6% speedo discrepancy as well so it will be even lower.

re the offset, the ffrr is 53mm and the sport is 57mm so there's only 4mm difference and the sport wheel will stick out a little more..

So the speedometer wouldn't be correct, that would be weird.

What are the best wheels for ffrr then, overfinch?

at 70mph your actual speed will be lower which is a good thing in regards to speeding, best wheels is a personnel choice..

Remember the Sport tyres will have a 106 load rating and the FF 109 on 20s

Get some normal wheels then, instead of a set of spine breakers. Wink
