'Small amount' is very subjective!

There is usually an oil mist coating in there. BMW i3 Electric Car

A smear or a few drops is perfectly normal.

If there's enough to bother collecting in a cup, that's not normal. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

A turbo leaking excessive amounts of oil will cause visible smoke from the exhaust and if it’s very bad a noticeable increase in oil consumption. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
