Scotland 2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Squeak on mine turned out to be a bit of the underside heat shield. Was under the car having a poke about for no particular reason one day (as you do) and my foot foot accidentally found the squeaky bit it just needed a bit of a tweek to stop it. Shame my gearbox couldn't have been fixed that easily Rolling Eyes 05 Range Rover SC

On my P38 after being in middle east came home to find a family of mice in the bonnet insulation - they squeak Laughing

Thanks VV. I'll check those things when it's on the hoist.

I'll check the heat shield, Chubbs. Ron B. VK2OTC

Ireland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver

My right rear was squeaking. It is embarrassing driving through the town Suspension bushes as mentioned dry out a bit then squeak. Lube them up and buy a bit more time but eventually replacement is needed. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

A friend and I replaced the rear upper and lower bushes earlier this week. Quite easy when one uses the right tools and have access to a hoist. I used the LaserTools http://www.lasertools.co.uk/product/5977 and http://www.lasertools.co.uk/product/5978

The bushes had little to no radial play but quite a bit of axial play, especially the left lower where the play was about 1.5mm. The grease was old and hard and there was a bit of rust in the joint.

The left lower also has two pieces of thin plastic (nylon?) jutting out of it. I assume they were/are the bearing surfaces. As noted above, the "bushes" are Heim/Rose Joints. I'll post pix later.

Cost A$219 for the parts (incl. post). Ron B. VK2OTC
