iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Guys
Has anyone actually got theirs yet? My best mate has pre ordered a 6 plus. It's being delivered Tuesday. I always buy his old phone (so iphone 5s coming) but he pre ordered the day they were announced. Now they are being shipped it seems the 6 is huge and the 6 plus is monsterous!
He's now getting worried his £699 could have been wiser spent, and selfishly I'm worried he may back it and I'll be stuck with no new phone!

Has anyone handled them and checked them out for size??

Cheers

I ordered mine on Apple Store last Friday . Postman delivered this morning, earlier than their estimate of 7-10 working days

Razz

The 6 is noticeably bigger than the 5. Just fits in one hand

Very glad I didn't buy the 'plus' Shocked Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

I was in the Apple Store yesterday.

I had been planning to buy the 6plus. I thought I would value the extra screen real estate and the extra battery life.

Having played with them, it will be the 6. Three factors weighed against the 6plus: size (a little too big); weight (too heavy for a shirt pocket - not that I often have a shirt with a pocket but it is a solid lump); usability (it is difficult to use it one handed).

Perhaps most surprising was that they both felt flimsy compared to a 5. The 4 and 5 felt hewn from solid metal. This felt plastic.

Got my two and very pleased with it as well. Downside is the wrapper is looking a bit tatty and I've had to splash on a cheap case and screen protector while waiting for lifeproof to catchup Sad

Had mine at 0905hrs on Friday morning after a 20min wait in the queue Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Bloke at work got the 6-Plus yesterday. Sat next to my Galaxy S4 it's huge. Deffo not a shirt pocket jobbie as it's way too tall. But, I will say the screen quality is gorgeous.

Also, SWMBO wants the regular size version which I measured up last night. Basically it's 3/4 of an inch larger screen but at least now the screen goes right to the top edge so the phone overall is only slightly larger than the 5S.

My brother has a 6 and it is big compared to my 4s, the 6 plus must be enormous. Will be a 6 for me.

I'm getting on better with mine as time goes by and using Siri more for text input.

I think the biggest change is the new keyboard style and the keys being slight off from where they used to be. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Having looked, I'll be keeping my iPhone 5 running iOS 8.

If I need a larger screen I have an iPad Air.

With the new iOS on, the ipad rings when a call comes in, and I can make calls from it. Hands free obviously.

yep, just updated iPad air and iphone5 to ios8, seems fairly similar however the battery is seeming to last better in day to day use and the fact that the iPad rings as well is a good bonus.

Just waiting to update to mac os x Yosemite and then i will have the set Whistle

was looking at the 6 online and though it looks fine and dandy, I'm not rushing out to get it! will wait and see what there is at upgrade time in 6 months...... (iPhone 6s maybe sometime next year?) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The only reason I got mine as soon as it came out was due to the reservation being so quick and easy. Normally i wait untill lifeproof bring out their case and get the phone.

Added to that I had a 5 and take the stance of missing the facelift phones it was a no brainier Smile
Also no contract for me so I can chop it in if I want or take it back in 14 days if unhappy and I get the 30day accidental damage cover as well was good enough for me Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I looked at both in a Vodafone shop yesterday and the 6 plus is massive. You might as well have an iPad mini.

Another reason not to buy a 6plus.
