Hi all,

Does anyone have a spare "R" for Range on the tailgate in the original colour for a MY11 car going spare?

Happy to pay reasonable costs and will be in UK for next week and 1st week Dec so could get it then - want to avoid replacing the whole thing.

In short, I've just had my car delivered yesterday and more on that later, but for now will say I am extremely off at the shippers or customs inspection (can't figure out who is responsible)! The whole rear and rear wings have been scuffed, bonnet scratched and looks like sandpaper has been dragged across it as well as lots of dents from boxes not being secured properly!

Yup, absolutely shocking!! Although hoping a good polishing session will get rid of 90% of the damage.

I'm assuming there is insurance in place to cover this sort of incident? Surely the shippers will be paying for repairs? Previously..

There is general marine insurance but it costs about $1000 with a $500 dollar excess - my shipper assured me that they had done several range rovers and never had one incident in 20 years and it didn't make sense to take out insurance - i hold my hands up as that was my mistake for listening to and trusting them.

They will have little or no liability - apparently marine freight industry practice really limits their responsibility...

I've got to take this one on the chin - but just really that they can get away with not taking a little care in their job and just assuming someone else will cover the cost of their laziness and shoddy work... MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"
