Rolls-Royce loaned them the car knowing full well what they'd do to it.

I can tell you the story if you wish, or let you get on with, so far, incorrect assumptions. Whistle Laughing Si. <This is my name.

Tell us, Bellini. I'm curious. It didn't look like the car was damaged, but I once did the same thing to our (much, much smaller) backyard in a go kart when I was a kid and Mom wasn't very happy with the state of the garden afterwards. Whistle

The two young men who do this aren't funded by 'Daddy'. They do this independently.

The cars are borrowed / loaned, mostly by a good friend.

One of the two is a good (not professional) driver. The other a good (not professional) cameraman. They're enthusiasts and insist on anonymity.

The very first TTR clip of a RR was done on the pretence by asking a dealer for a test drive. The dealer loaned them the car and they made the video. The car was cleaned 5 times after the shoot and the numberplate deleted on all the clips to avoid any blame. The boys thought no-one would know.

Unfortunately, they just happened to borrow the ONLY RR of that colour anywhere. The dealer and RR soon put 2 and 2 together (there was still dirt on the car's underside) and went berserk. Then they discovered how much global interest the YT clip generated and reversed their opinions.

The latest shoot as above was RR's suggestion. They loaned the car willingly.

The videos are shot with a 'one-take' philosophy for the more daring bits to preserve the cars, such as the twin F50 tug of war scene. The other less skilled stuff is done on many takes to get things right.

If you look at the clips (the 512BB one springs to mind), you'll notice that the cars are warmed up properly before anything is done. On the 512 clip, you can see the oil temp gauge firmly in the middle.

The F50's were inspected after the ToW scene by a specialist and both clutches were found to be in perfect health.

These clips most definitely are NOT 'rich Daddy - spoilt brats, taking the pee'. Si. <This is my name.

I remember when some young thicko binman.. won the lotto, and bought a number of old cars, and a big house, and did banger racing in in gardens. after about 2 years he had spent (on not much at all) the whole 9.5 million. and now he's back working again....for £6 an hour!
