Ok so just to clear things up on the IID tool its £25 to change ownership and £60 to unlock another VIN which would mean availability for 2 vehicles, my IID tool has the latest firmware F**K IT you only live once

First part - correct.

Sorry, I don't know about the second. IID have some beta software allowing limited use on a second vehicle. I'm not sure of the details.

All details are correct as I have been in contact with Patrick at GAP, this seems to be a grey area for a lot of people?

£60 for an extra VIN (full use of the IID tool for 2 or more vehicles)

£25 for a change in ownership (if you purchase a secondhand IID tool it will unlock to YOUR vehicle)

The update in firmware means that the IID tool can be used on any vehicle registered between 06-09 this will however give you limited use for eg :- service reset, live values etc but you cannot change/setup anything as this will require either of the above depending if you are the lucky owner of 2 or more full fats
