United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Well I won't say that I got lost leaving the site, with Howard following. Out the car park I went straight, instead of left, up a muddy path with a red arrow on it, must have been part of the course, through some type of quarry through some muddy twisty bits and to the entrance, which we were feet away from, but was blocked by a locked gate.

Reverse back up the single track path it is then.... Whistle

Sorry Howard ! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Paulmoran2 - that looks painful on your wallet - I'd be gutted, especially with a FF looking as good as yours (did) Shocked

You need to get a Defender as your "toy" - they look fine with a few scrapes, and are massively cheaper to sort out when it needs more than t-cut Thumbs Up

Looks like a great place, will have to come along next time (not far from me), but I'd be bringing the Defender.

England 2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Mariana Black

Ceegee...I reckon i can remove and bend the step back down (up about 2" just behind the front mudguard) and the body work will be fairly easy for the shop as the dents are only a few MM's deep..hopefully the right side of £400...then a new rear NS light as well £???

It could have been a lot worse as we nearly went over at one point with a tree within a half inch of the roof / A-Pillar. We pushed on through a 2 ft deep slab sided rut at a 35 deg angle with the door sliding along the wall side (theres now a crease in the drivers door)...but we had no choice as the doors were jammed closed both sides and we'd dropped off a 18" step so no going back...fortunately, if we had of needed to abandon ship, at least Howard is slim enough to use the sunroof (unlike the captain)

Cant tell you how annoyed I am for not stopping to assess, but up to that point nothing had been remotely risky Rolling Eyes GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

I admire your spirit and putting on a brave face, but the "face-lift and overfinch's" deserve a pristine fullfat Whistle

Good luck with getting it sorted out Thumbs Up

@PM2's and @Hayland's car did some awesome things today.

Much thanks to @PM2 for letting me go co-pilot. Had a great day seeing what the FF can really do - and it did everything and more that was asked of it. Bow down Bow down

On the run where the battle damage happened we grounded the centre of the car.

The ever helpful car computer suggested we enage max off road height - trouble was we were already at max off road height and wheels did not touch ground.

A few feet later it looked like we might crush the roof while mud sliding under the trunk of a fallen down tree with an inch to spare, but the FF ploughed on through the mud rut gulley and got out the other side.

Amazing what it can actually do. Bow down

@MJD - thanks for the tour around the park while trying to find the exit Very Happy

@kingpleb - great to meet you today - lost track of you around lunch - sounds like you were stuck on the black run.

Great day. I am humbled.

.. Howard

Well that was fun....had a fabulous play around with Smutt (Howard) as co-pilot and all was going well until we slid, slipped and dropped into a black run Big Cry ....sustained a couple of battle scars on the back NS quarter panel, bumper and light , OS drivers door, front fender and side step is bent up ( a wee bit more than T-cut will work on) but hay-ho, it was bloody good fun Thumbs Up

Just wondered if you have managed to sort out your "battle scars" yet??

It was such a shame to see such a great looking FF with those scrapes Sad

Great Thumbs Up

The FF is just too good to risk trashing it - why Disco rather than a Defender??

With a Disco you can actually drive it to and from the event without losing your fillings, hearing or having half your body in spasm because it doesn't actually fit in the car if the door is closed...... Whistle

.... But seriously, why not a Defender ? If it's just for playing in ?

Discos prob cheaper and has toys...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Defender's hold their money incredibly well plus they are simpler and cheaper to fix with parts and panels, etc in huge supply - what's not to like Very Happy
