I put mine in the fuel tank, 1/2 litre to every tank full of diesel, no need to worry about disposing of the mucky old oil that way Thumbs Up

Pouring old oil onto the nettle patch behind the compost heap was THE way to do it when I was a bairn. Nettles were always as big as trees so they certainly didn't mind. Thumbs Up

Damn fine stuff for treating garden sheds with I find - or post and rail fencing. Certainly stops the walkers climbing over them Rolling with laughter

I throw mine at the local swans...

No we're lucky that we have a recycling place nearby, and in fact our council recycling collection takes used engine oil in a sealed container.. That said, have also seen the 'fence preservative' method used on some of the barns in the area.

Laughing

There must be certain weekends that a lot of people diy service their vehicles as when I've taken other stuff to the local dump I've seen signs saying no used engine oil today and the big cubes they have for them are filled, must take about 5000litres normally! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
