Roof Rail pics?

Does anyone have pics of a Silver FFRR with roof rails fitted? I collect mine at the weekend and I need bars for board and roof box. The sports bars aren't of much use to me and I'd consider fitting roof rails to give more flexibility, but would like to see what the rails look like on a Silver RR.

thanks

Neil

here they are on a green one Mr. Green

If you are going to put a board or skis or a roof box then roof rails are the best option really. I have had both and the rails come out top. They also don't detract from the car's style IMHO.

great, thanks for posting. At least I can see the size of them - not sure I'd like them on a silver one. Guess its the Thule Rapid option then.

Rhino Rack is now available in the UK and is much much much much better than the Thule Rapid as is a proper custom fit and you don't need to cut the flaps off on your roof .

I have the Aero triple in black and It never coms off , it's quiet , extremely well made and any accessories you want just slide in and lock .

The rail system for the FullFat is very expensive from a dealer and the Chinese copy you get from ebay and the like is total Censored
I'm being quite evangelical here but if you are serious about putting things on your roof nothing else gets close Thumbs Up 2008 MY Supercharged

Are the LR ones an easy fitting job?

Morning Gents, looking to for a set of rails at some time if anyone knows of a reasonable set for sale.

On another note do the factory LR cross bars from the D3/4 fit these rails.

I was lucky enough to find a pair of genuine LR rails with the often missing end caps for £10 on ebay, I then had plenty of change, so I bought two pairs or roof bars, again on ebay, in case I needed them all. As two can sometimes be a compromise., they look a bit silly, but are quiet on the motorway etc. the rails are a one way fit as you have to snap off (and keep) the sliver flaps to reveal the blank screws to remove, to fit bars unlike sports bars which you leave the flaps up.. they rails are handed, so you need to be little careful. I used towels etc to roll them around. pierced torx screws, so get a torx driver from b+q and the caps snap on the ends. the bars are bit of job, but 20mins to fit four... again keep a towel at other end whilst doing them, you have to have each bracket loose and 'sliding' and then fit them, then centralise, as the bars are not front rear specific, unlike the sports bars. My rails had a few scratches on the black, which I will touch up in better months. I have coded a+ d pillars so they contrast the rails a bit too much, but black a+d pillars would be fine I was going to spray the rails silver, but thought better of it. aftermarket ones I cant comment on, but genuine ones are about £700 for rails and two bars I think. bars alone are £180 a pair. in a bag.

I have been wondering............... The FFRR is a reworked P38, from what I gather, so has anyone tryed some P38 roof rails to see if they line up? or has Land Rover moved it all around to stop cross compatibility?

Literally the only thing a P38 and an L322 share is Land Rover badges.
Again not a grey one, rails on .

And this is the Rhino one , but when you take the Rhino off you get to keep your little flaps in the roof and no rails .

Remember the rhinos and the sports are fixed intervals the rails type are multi positions to suit roof boxes
aftermarket ones are about £170 I think for a set or rails and two bars I cantcomment on their strength fit etc but they are copies of originals.
