How do I use the interface for Navcoder ?

I bought from member daveo a interface. Now he is on holidays and I don't know how to use it. One side there are black, red an yellow wires . On the other side I believe is the interface. Where do I put now what? Photos are welcome. Hasn't got a USB on it. So how do I put it on my laptop. Hope anybody can help otherwise I have to wait for him to get back Sad Daniel

Check the Navcoder install file. There is a wiring diagram for a vvery simple interface.

Or have a look here: http://www.reslers.de/IBUS/index.html

Don't know what he sent you, but the R,B, and Y wire should be +, -, and IBus respectively. And if it's not USB, it'll be RS232 (serial). You'll need a USB/serial adapter.

Well mine looks different. What is on the lower picture is in blacktape and longer and smaller and you only see connection in the shape like a firewire but the shape is rectangular and a small open square on the top. Daniel

That’s a USB socket… You need the same lead that goes into your printer (A-B) one is a flat end one is a square end.

MMMmmm - I think before we get to how the I-Bus interface works, we're going to need to discuss searching on your own.
5 items to the right of the RF wheel of the silver RR at the top of the screen (which is identical to mine, BTW Mr. Green ) is 'search'. Click that, type 'navcoder' and it will take you to a page with several results - not too many - where, amongst others, Dan's thread will show up: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic1797.html?highlight=navcoder.
The Resler page which I linked to yesterday also contains the info you need.

Then do the big search for 'micro USB' now that Dan has helped you that far.

If all that doesn't work you'll need to buy me a large number of beers and I'll come to Basel and hook it up for you. Razz

Yes Sir Exclamation

Micro USB: Found out I need to buy some cable, so I can connect it to my laptop. Wires look like that I have to buy beers or some decent Creman't d'alsace. Read something obout blowing fuses and about -12 and plus 12. Censored it In those things I'm just useless. I got the rearlights Whistle Daniel
