The shop in the town where I live can program blank transponder chips, but he needs an original key and the vehicle. He also cuts the key, that's where I am going when I get 2 keys from Daveo.

Seems like a bit of a con to me, only £5 and no returns accepted.

to be honest, i can do the chips but i have to remove the ews to read the key data as its a rolling code, there may be newer software around now as it changes so fast that can do it through the obd port, but when i was looking all the good stuff can be very expensive. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Just out of curiosity, does the transponder chip just 'unlock' the ignition, or does it have any other function-i.e.for memory settings, etc., or is that done by the circuit board in the key fob? |
